  10. I am running the following hardware :
  11.   clone 386-33 w/ 387
  12.   16 MB RAM
  13.   Fujitsu M2623T (large enough)
  14.   NE2000 clone
  15.  
  16. As I do not have a SCSI CD-ROM I used winnt install via a DOS-Network.
  17. Artisoft LANTastic. Everything went more or less fine, Setup copied about
  18. 40 MB Stuff onto my harddisk after creating a boot disk.
  19. Then booting created the following result :
  20. Setup copied a lot of files (from harddisk to harddisk) - still in text mode -
  21. and then displayed the normal header (October Beta, 16064K free etc)
  22. and then FATAL SYSTEM ERROR 0x0000007F.
  23. This took me a while without a solution.
  24. Then I took my harddisk, installed it into another computer - on which the 
  25. NT setup works - installed NT there and re-installed the disk into my machine.
  26. Booting took some while, everything seemed okay, NT displayed the request to
  27. logon via CTRL-ALT-DEL - but the keyboard is stuck, the mouse is stuck and 
  28. nothing more happens.

  30. Some guys told me that I may have an interrupt problem - I checked my hardware
  31. really quite often - when the NE2000 card is installed, NT won't operate. If
  32. it isn't, it does. (I am using 0x300, IRQ5 and *don't have LPT2* and nothing
  33. else ).

  35. .WRI files for documentation :
  36. OK, selecting US english as language helps principally. NT Write still isn't
  37. abled to display the embedded graphics and - more disturbing - still sees
  38. page headers and footers mixed with the normal text. This somehow lowers
  39. legibility.
