- The difference is how the black "color" is handled. The DJ 500c mixed all of
- it's colors to make black - this is good because people tend to use black most
- of all. If the 500c had black as a "color" in the cartridge, you would be
- replacing the whole thing only because the black color was out; The rest of
- the colors would not get spent. The downside is the color black comes out
- like a DARK navy blue...and (finally pertaining to this thread) is slower.
- How much? I don't know.
- The 550c has two cartridge slots. 1 for black, the other for the color
- cartridge...the advantages are obvious.
