  15. I own the HP500C deskjet.  It's a fine printer and you might be happy
  16. with the current pricing structure.  If a couple of hundred dollars
  17. is not an issue, I would purchase the HP550C instead (not available
  18. when I purchased the HP500C).  The HP550C uses a dual cartridge 
  19. printhead (one color, one b/w).  This allows true black lines/images
  20. instead of the off-green appearance given be the HP500C.

  22. Also, be advised, the HP500C/HP550C printers are designed for PCs and
  23. compatibles.  The DeskWriter is for Apple/MAC interfaces.
