- I think you misunderstood the problem here - the permanent swap file
- is ALWAYS of the same size, it's the temp swap that keeps growing
- (up to the max size defined). What the problem was (now this is
- all guessing on my part - feel free to correct me) is that once
- you quit applications presumably swapped on the disk, the swap
- file won't shrink anymore, but retains the same size (or bigger
- if you start more apps - again up to the max size) for the rest
- of the Windows session.

- The original guestion was, why this file won't shrink, ie is
- there no "garbage collecting" that would from time to time
- organize (and effectively, compress) the swap file.
