- I saw your message and thought to myself, "What a silly problem.
- This guy doesn't know what he's doing. He has screwed something up."
-
- So, I tried it. BOOM! I had the same problem. Egg on my face!
-
- But I figured out what the problem is. I'm using windows in 256
- colours and sometimes when windows uses a colour that isn't in the
- standard 16 colours it kinda picks the closest colour. Well, I have
- my background set to a nice dark blue (almost navy but a bit
- brighter) and when I go to edit the desktop pattern it tries showing
- the background as the nearest colour in the palette of 16. BLACK!
-
- The answer: Set you background colour to something lighter, and
- preferably to colour in the standard 16 palette because it
- will jump to that colour anyway.
-
- Try putting these patterns I made in your CONTROL.INI in the
- [Patterns] section...

-
- Warning never name your pattern "(None)" <no quotes> because you'll
- never get rid of it. I learned this the hard way. However is it a
- good (but cruel) pratical joke to play on somebody.
-
- If you design any cool patterns please mail them to me.
