- When I set text labels within an Excel chart to have "automatic"
- area patterns, everything looks great in Excel. When I import to
- Word, however, the "automatic" colors get translated to an
- actual color.
-
- THIS DID NOT USED TO HAPPEN!
-
- Since my window backgrounds a gray, when the linked chart prints,
- the text boxes all have a gray background instead of an
- "automatic" white background (sort of the reverse of "automatic"
- text within Word.
-
- What is going on? How can I prevent this? As a stopgap measure,
- I have had to explicitly set the are patterns to white, yielding some
- pretty ugly screen displays (but satisfactory printouts).
