  15. Strange problem with Microsoft 'C' v 1.0 (lattice 2.13)
  16. yeah, I know, but for reasons beyond my control I have to maintain this
  17. code...:(   I have a totaly legal line of 'c' code that has worked
  18. flawlessly for every version of dos from 2.10 to 3.3  It breaks under
  19. 5.0.     fopen("filename","w+").    comes back with an error.  
  20. error is "no file/directory" on opening the file.
  21. file name  c:\190prg\trial4.tmp

  23. Is there some subtle diffrence between dos 3.1 and dos 5.0 when it comes
  24. to handling a file with a "w+" open?  It works fine with "w", but that
  25. is not what I want.
