- Well, I'm not too happy at the moment. I bought a Bocaram/AT with 2M
- to be used as expanded (not extended) memory for my 286 clone
- (Packard-Bell), so I could improve the performance of pc/geos without a
- lot of money to upgrade. I finally had to disable the thing because I
- was getting lock ups! Now that I'm back to 640K, it doesn't lock up.
- (Thanks to all who helped me isolate this problem.) Has anyone else
- had AT machines with expanded memory lock up or corrupt data stored in
- memory? By-the-by, it passed it's memory test.
-
- Now, what? Does Geoworks have a place that I could call and ask, "Do you
- have problems with x and y running pc/geos?" AOL and a call that got to
- a person at Geoworks helped me, but it seems that the problem is not very
- well documented. I like pc/geos. It's the only GUI my wife can use
- (take that Windows!) and my kids like it. Should I try running as
- extended memory? Thanks.
