  12.         My friendly computer salesman has a Packard-Bell 486 (god knows
  13.         why) and has inherited a Tandy LP1000 laser printer.

  15.         The Packard-Bell has a local bus for the printer port.
  16.         Connecting the Tandy to this resulted in smoke!  The boys at
  17.         Radio Shark sold him a cable that didn't make things work,
  18.         either.

  20.         Is there a secret?  Does anyone know where or why this
  21.         incompatibility exists?

  23.         The Packard-Bell does have some slots. Would he have any luck
  24.         getting a card (which card) for the printer port?
