- I use Eudora on a Mac to attach documents to email, where the documents
- may occasionally be binary files (compressed archives, programs, Word
- documents, etc). In the Mac world, the binary to ascii munging format
- is called .hqx format (for mysterious reasons). Its a standard format
- that's supported by all Mac compression programs (Stuffit, Compact Pro,
- etc).
-
- I'd like to set up my PC-based colleagues to unmunge these files, but
- I don't know what names to search with via Archie. Can you help?
-
- Its best to reply by email as I rarely read PC newsgroups.
