- I am thinking of getting a CD-ROM drive. I was under the impression that
- all the CD-ROM drives are SCSI. Is this correct? I look into a few
- brands, SoundBaster PRO Multi-media, NEC, and the Raven. The NEC and
- Raven come with there own SCSI adapters, and the SB PRO comes with the
- sound card. I have a SoundBaster 1.5 and a ALWAYS SCSI adapter in my
- system already. So I am thinking of just getting a bare CD-ROM drive.
- I would like some advices on is this a good idea. What is the
- difference between using the SB Pro CD-ROM and the NEC CD-ROM. Is it
- any advantages using CD-ROM from a sound card (SB PRO, UltraSound...)?
- I talk to a lot sales people in town. None of them can give me a good
- answer. I appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance.
