  12. comp.os.linux.announce has been gated to the Fidonet Echoid tag of
  13. LNXMANAGE
  14.  
  15. This area was originally set-up for the purpose of giving fidonet system
  16. operators a place to ask questions, or to be kept informed of releases
  17. of software that I had managed to get off of the internet systems for
  18. fidonet consumption, without having to increase the volume of
  19. comp.os.linux with postings that few would be concerned with.

  21. LNXMANAGE was originally placed on the fidonet backbone at the same time
  22. as the comp.os.linux gated echoid tag of LINUX.

  24. LNXMANAGE was originally e'listed as a sysop only echoid. I feel that
  25. user's could have access to this area as a read only area. I will make
  26. the appropriate changes to the elist to reflect this.

  28. c.o.l.a <-> LNXMANAGE is a one way gate, any sysop posts to it will not
  29. be passed back to Lars or Matt's for moderation.
