  12. Below is an un-official list of programs which break under 0.99 (or 0.98.6)
  13. and the method to get them running again.  I felt there was a great need
  14. for such a thing.

  30. emacs    Ok?    ???    -Appears to work ok (with new libc)
  31. uucp    Broke    Yes    -recompiled the Taylor 1.03 with the -fwritable-strings in
  32.              the makefile in addition to all other cflags and
  33.              added the new libc.so.4.2 (MUST HAVE!)
  34. minicom    Broke    No    -mini98.5.tar patches did not fix, still broke
  35. rz/sz    ?????    ???    -Status Untested
  36. sed    Broke?    Yes    -Did not behave reliably, version GNU 1.09
  37.             -Get GNU 1.13, added -dHAVE_BCOPY and removed def in
  38.             sed.c for sys_errlist as its in errno.h
  39.             -now works properly, fixes INEWS problem
  40. cnews    Broke    Yes    -Inews shell script keeps dumping in dead.article
  41.             -Due to SED not fully working
  42. mail    Broke    Yes    -Recompiled the mailpak-1.3 mail, with -fwritable-strings in
  43.              the makefile, remember to re-link rmail as well
  44. getty    Broke    Yes    -Recompiled the 2.04 (Not 2.03) sources
  45.             -No longer likes terminals?  Had to use uugetty for
