- My guess is that you have getty setup improperly for you modem, what I would
- guess is happening is that your modem is sending an "OK" through the line
- and getty is saying "cool, someone trying to login... but the first character
- is capital, I guess they don't have Lowercase capability" (this is the standard
- assumption for all UN*X systems, if the first car is capital, all capitals
- are printed and the capitals input are mapped to lowercase)

- The solution to this would be to reconfigure getty/uugetty to ignore the
- first "OK" sent from the modem and/or configure the modem to not echo
