  11. I have a problem with logging in to my system... getty seems to set
  12. a case-mapping mode, showing all output in capitals, and not accepting
  13. logins... does not even print /etc/issue before each login: prompt.

  15. I am running a fairly vanilla Linux 0.98pl1 (SLS) with a USR v32bis
  16. modem. After getty times out, it prints /etc/issue, lower case output
  17. is available, and I can log in.

  19. Does anyone know why I am getting this strange behavior?
