- I have no networking capabilites, yet. (I'm waiting for
- the SLIP releases.) However, I want to test the NFS and NFSD
- software. Is there any way to do this with just the loopback
- device? So far, it hasn't worked.
-
- Currently, I have 3 IP addresses configured to loopback, and
- they all work with a telnet session. In my rc.net file, I start
- inetd, named, ftpd, portmap, nfsd, and mountd (in that order). When I
- try to mount the file system loopback:/usr on /mnt, it
- just hangs forever. It does print one message similar to "not
- connected yet, still trying" on the next virtual console I open.
-
- Should this work at all?
