  26. Several things : 
  27.  
  28. 1.  You can only boot from the first physical hard disk, so you might want 
  29.     to have atleast / for Linux on that disk.
  30.  
  31. 2.  Splitting Linux between several drives (ie swap on one, /usr on 
  32.     another) will maximize performance since Linux will talk to
  33.     multiple SCSI drives at the same time.
