- Hi All,
-
-
- Does any one know if it is possible to run acm on a linux box without
- an ethernet card?
- I believe that 0.98 sources are compiled with tcp/ip as default,
- and when booting, I do get the message that the Internet sockets
- are being initialized.
-
- I read in the linux network faq that there is a loopback option
- that enables your machine to talk to itself.
- I think that's the very thing that can make the acm process
- talk to the acms process which is running on the same machine, but how?
-
- Do I need to give a special kind of inet addr in order to
- have the loopback option take effect?
-
- If ya are able to spread some light on this matter, please drop me a line,
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
