- Well, I also got bit by the kernel crash bug in 0.99, so I got the posting
- by Linus and made the (very small) patch. Now, everything works great -
- hey, even my internal modem works now! I read (and followed) the README,
- as well as both ANNOUNCE postings by Linus, and had no problems. I can't
- quite understand why everyone is having so many problems, especially with
- the kernel crash bug. Did Linus' first post announcing 0.99 get out, and
- his patch post not? Or are there a lot of people out there just not paying
- a lot of attention, preferring to post instead of READING the docs?
