  23. Well, I also got bit by the kernel crash bug in 0.99, so I got the posting
  24. by Linus and made the (very small) patch.  Now, everything works great -
  25. hey, even my internal modem works now!  I read (and followed) the README,
  26. as well as both ANNOUNCE postings by Linus, and had no problems.  I can't
  27. quite understand why everyone is having so many problems, especially with
  28. the kernel crash bug.  Did Linus' first post announcing 0.99 get out, and
  29. his patch post not?  Or are there a lot of people out there just not paying
  30. a lot of attention, preferring to post instead of READING the docs?
