- I installed the new 0.99 kernel and ps/w/free/top/uptime from SLS to my
- (then) working 0.98-5 SLS system and it gets a General Protection Error
- after saying the partition table is ok. Does anyone have a clue regarding
- this ?
-
- general protection: 0000
- EIP: 0008:0000B6C4
- EFLAGS: 00010206
- FS: 0017
- base: C0000000, limit: 000A0000
- pid: 1, process nr: 1

- The only other thing I get above this is a warning:
-
- Warning, WD8013 board not found at i/o=280
- (which is correct...I don't have an ethernet board)
-
- only other thing I can think of is that it takes a LONG time
- to go through it's checks before it checks the partition tables for
- the two hard disks...much longer than 0.98-5 took.
