  17. First, I just started using Linux and I'm impressed!

  19. These have probably been answered elsewhere but I'll ask anyway ... I've
  20. noticed a number of users asking about problems in uucp, mail, and minicom. I'm
  21. using SLS 98p5 and am experiencing problems with each also. 
  22.  
  23. 1) Just typing mail causes a core and through elm or emacs rmail mail seems to
  24. be sent but never arrives (I'm just trying it locally).

  26. 2) Minicom -s gives a seg violation so I can't ever set it up. I brought a
  27. version down from tsx-11 with a patch hoping that had a fix in it but it didn't.

  29. 3) I've had some problems setting up uucp. While browsing the net I've noticed
  30. several people implying uucp does not work currently. Is this correct?

  32. For all of the above, if they are not working now. Is there a previous version
  33. I can count on?
