  22.   PLEASE, everyone! There was a war on this subject five months ago which lasted
  23. for quite long and took up quite a lot of space in comp.os.linux . The result
  24. of that war was: compress is, and have been the unix standard and this is how
  25. it will be in the future (well, pherhaps not forever but for now at least), 
  26. an opinion supported by 'The Important People', the sysadmins at the ftp-sites.
  27.   I kindly ask everyone not to start a war again. The volume on comp.os.linux 
  28. is high as it is.
