- Hello all,
-
- Thanks to Linus, I managed to get 0.99 up and running.
-
- However, I don't understand how what he suggested worked. Linus
- suggested that I make sure that I include FPU support, since init()
- will die if I don't have the hardware or the emulator.
-
- BUT - I HAVE the hardware, so I wasn't including the emulator. I run
- a 486-DX/33. DX is 'supposed' to include a BUILTIN FPU. And regular
- MS-GROSS utilities report its existence.
-
- What gives....does this mean that Linux isn't using the 486 FPU?
-
- Oh, and thanks to everyone who replied to my original post!!
-
- Especially to Linus!! Good Job!!
