  16. Thanks to Linus, I managed to get 0.99 up and running.

  18. However, I don't understand how what he suggested worked.  Linus
  19. suggested that I make sure that I include FPU support, since init()
  20. will die if I don't have the hardware or the emulator.

  22. BUT - I HAVE the hardware, so I wasn't including the emulator.  I run
  23. a 486-DX/33.  DX is 'supposed' to include a BUILTIN FPU.  And regular
  24. MS-GROSS utilities report its existence.

  26. What gives....does this mean that Linux isn't using the 486 FPU?
