- Eric Youngdale has added an unlock sequence to the SCSI code which is
- said to be required before a floptical drive will respond to commands.
-
- I am currently running a floptical on an Adaptech 1542B controller without
- any trouble, other than a few timeout messages (I don't think the SCSI
- drivers ever expected to see such a slow disk-type device!) :-) and a
- couple of error messages due to the floptical door not accepting (or
- being able to action) doorlock requests.
-
- Other than these slight problems, things seem to work fine. You can either
- format the floptical as one big filesystem, or partition it. Mtools and
- mount -t msdos will both access flopticals written under DOS.
-
- I will post more info in a couple of days.
-
- (And thanks again to Eric for all the time he spent answering my stupid
- questions.)
