  14. I grabbed the SLS .98pl5 distribution.  Had few problems with it.  I just 
  15. grabbed and recompiled linux .99 and lo and behold , I get a) an ioctl error
  16. message stating that an invalid argument was passed.   This was emitted from
  17. the line:
  18. $CONFIG -n $NET -r $ROUTER eth0 $IPADDR
  19. in rc.net

  21. b) The dos emulation do longer works.  It just clears the screen and returns
  22. my prompt.

  24. Any ideas?
  25. oh, btw, I compiled in TCPIP & NFS and I don't have an ethernet card.
  26. I compiled in NFS in an effort to try to isolate the first problem.

  28. Oh, I got xdm up and running but it kept thrashing the harddisk.  this is 
  29. strange given that it didn't do this before.
