  13. Here's my story:
  14. I'm a C programmer from a unix/motorola background.
  15. I hate ms-dos
  16. I found linux.
  17. I DL'ed linux boot and root.
  18. it booted 3 times.
  19. I read instructions and FAQ's saying i need to partition my drive.
  20. I partitioned my drive.
  21. I discovered some wierdo CMOS setup thingy. 
  22. i tried telling this CMOS thingy about my HD.
  23. I tried to boot linux.
  24. it hasnt worked since.
  25. after "Linux version xxxx" it just sits there
  26. (it used to give me a shell, but not now!)

  28. I use a 386sx-16  4MB ram. and a 40 meg HD, math coprocessor. paradise vga card.

  30. vt's 2-4 don't work either.

  32. I've been around computers for a long time, and have never scene anything so
  33. twisted as this clone i work on. I'm not a IBMer, i'm a unix guy.
