- Hi, being all excited about 0.99 I thought I would give it a try.
- I am not a guru, but have successfully built 0.98.6, inserted tcpip
- code and 3c503 drivers etc and can read a FAQ.
-
- Version 0.99 builds without a warning (I have everything turned on).
-
- When it boots it goes through to the stage of saying partition tables
- ok and then dies with a 'kernal cannot execute paging request at....'
-
- The only stuff I have added to the kernel is the 3c503 driver and
- the card seems to be detected ok, much earlier in the boot sequence.
-
- I can't see anything that might be screwing it up. (I am booting of a
- floppy so that lilo can't be getting in the way).
-
- I recompiled with almost everything turned off with exactly the same effect,
- except that the kernel was smaller.
-
- Any suggestions, is this a FAQ, or generally useful information would be
- much appreciated.
-
- regards tim
