  13. I need to debug my .emacs startup.  The following seems to have no effect
  14. under Linux Emacs (SLS 0.98pl5 release):

  18. This works fine for me with GNU Emacs 18.58.2 under SunOS.  Anybody know
  19. why this might be a problem with Linux's Emacs?
