  36. Me too. xdm was find under 0.98-pl5, but broke under pl6 and is still dead
  37. at 0.99. Same symptoms: startx works fine, but xdm hangs with a black
  38. screen. If I hit return, it sort of comes up, but anything I type comes out
  39. as garbage in the colsole log window.

  41. It does produce a core file as well...

  43. I'm running the S3 server, version 0.3.
