- This is what comes from not reading the docs... From the linux faq:
-
- QUESTION: What SCSI hosts are supported?
-
- ANSWER: The Adaptec 154x, Adaptec 174x Future Domain 16x0, Seagate ST0x,
- Ultrastor 14F, and Western Digital 7000FASST are supported. Various Adaptec
- clones from Bustek and Future Domain are known to work, in both ISA and EISA
- flavors.
-
- Now, unless your DTC emulates one of the above cards you're out of
- luck. As for the tape drive, linux does not support anything but SCSI
- tapes without kernel patches, so you correctly get a report of 0 tapes.
-
- From a question you ask (but I don't know the answer for) I deduce
- that you're trying to install SLS, and checking the SLS docs, sure
- enough, they say "SCSI" but don't mention that it only works on
- certain SCSI cards... Maybe the SLS docs needs to be fixed or
- suplemented?
