  12. Hello fellow kernel makers!

  14.   Questions: 1) With 0.98pl6 and LILO 0.6 (can't get 0.7 to compile),
  15.                 should I use the US keyboard in Makefile if I am 
  16.                 resident of USA.  I know this sounds stupid, but with
  17.                 "vmlinux" kernel I got with GCC, emacs arrow keys work.
  18.                 With mine, they don't.

  20.              2) Again, 0.98pl6 and LILO 0.6;  I have tried every
  21.                 combination I can think of in Makefile with SVGA...
  22.                 variable.  Still I get weird 132 column text mode
  23.                 on my paradise VGA card.  More frustrating still,
  24.                 I can't get my image to prompt for video type when
  25.                 booting.  I tried commenting out the variable to
  26.                 no avail...

  28.   My config: 1) 486/33 AMI motherboard, AMI BIOS
  29.              2) Paradise VGA (no SVGA)
  30.              3) GCC distribution of Linux.  Laid "libc.so.4.2" and
  31.                 "inc41.tar" on top.  No SLS stuff being used at this
  32.                 time.

  34.    Note:     1) Kernel compiles quite easily, just would like to kill
  35.                 bugs listed in "Questions" above.
