  32.     Well, I think that the problem with bad directories (a bug in the dirs
  33. handling routines) has been corrected in 0.98pl6.  If you can, upgrade to a
  34. newer version of the Linux kernel or get the file extfs.p6.Z which is available
  35. by ftp on ftp-masi.ibp.fr and on tsx-11.mit.edu in the directory
  36. /pub/linux/ALPHA/extfs.  Then, apply the patch to the kernel sources, rebuild
  37. a kernel and boot from it.  Note that the latest release of efsck (from version
  38. 10.1) are able to correct bad directory entries.
