- Don't underestimate the number of Linux users ! Especially towards 1.0 the
- Linux community will grow significantly. (same for other FreeNIXes like BSD,
- of course) Decreasing sales figures and a shrinking market segment - even the
- tendency towards it - will catch any good salesman's attention.
- Linux was written about recently in the german Magazine "c't" and they're
- getting a decent response via their BBS network as far as I can tell.
- The commercial "eMedia"-company, which takes care of c't-projects' hard- and
- software distribution are now selling 20 SLS disks for DM 99. (they sell
- Coherent and Minix as well)

- You could sell pieces of hardware worth a few hundred bucks every 30 seconds?
- Well then you must be buying this stuff in the same quantities and be a rich
- man ! Buying a graphics board (save for a whole computer) is always a major
- investment for a poor CS student like me -> doesn't happen very often. In
- these very few cases of a wrong decision on such an investment it should be
- possible to get rid of the card. Sell it to that Windoze Junkie who was going
- to buy one anyway -> sold_stealth_boards--;
-
- Don't say this doesn't count - that's this dangerous "People starving in
- Africa"/"Rain Forest is vanishing"/ "Environment gets polluted"/...-but-what-
- can-I-do-Syndrome. (Yes, I admit: compared to the above we have a minor
- problem here). If everybody does their share, Diamond will notice.

- Sorry to waste bandwidth,
