- Hi, all.
-
- I installed SLS 0.98p5 (min+base+x) this morning. And with some
- help from my friend, we put in the lilo ver 0.7. I have one hard drive
- and I partition it to 20mb DOS, 63mb linux and the rest is also for linux.
- lilo boots fine with ms-dos 5.0. But when it try to boot linux, it gives
- me the following errors and hang the machine:
- ...
- ...
- partition table ok
- MINIX-fs: unable to read superblock
- EXT-fs: unable to read superblock
- MSDOS bread failed
- kernel panic: Unable to mount root
-
- That's it! It hangs there!
-
- My machine config is: 386-40 8mb ram and 116mb with trident 8900
-
-
- Thanks for any help,
-
- I had a same problem. I replaced /Image file on root with a new one and
- then linux boots fine. Maybe its something wrong in original Image
- file.
