- Help!
-
- I have an ATI Vantage graphics card and want to run XWindows. Can someone
- mail me an Xconfig that will work with this setup, and any other info that I
- may need to get running?
-
- I've tried modifying the existing config, but I get nowhere. When I run X, I
- get a blank screen and no action. I can still switch to another terminal
- with [Alt]-[F2|F3|F4], and login and reboot, but I have to do it blind. The
- terminal seems to respond, but with no graphics. The terminal that i've
- started X from becomes completely locked and does nothing.
-
- I have a 486/33 with a Quantum 105MB HD and a Samtron SC1428TX, if this is
- helpful. Oh, and the Vantage has 1.5MB of memory: 512K for the Vantage
- side, and 1.0 MB for the Accelerator/8514 side.
-
- A driver that runs in 8514 mode would be preferable... :)
-
- Thanks for any and all help!
-
- PS - when I boot linux, it says Bus mouse: not found or something like
- that... is there a patch somewhere that will allow linux to recognize the bus
- mouse on the Vantage card?
