- Summary: more tcp patches at sunsite and tsx-11
- Keywords: tcp ip network patches kernel
-
- Since the mailing list still seems to be a bit slow and I'm in a
- hurry, I'm posting this.
-
- It's Friday 12/11 I've just uploaded 2 more tcp patches (for a total of
- 9) to tsx-11.mit.edu (packages/tcpip) and sunsite.unc.edu (Incoming and
- packages/tcpip). If you know what you are doing please test them and
- let me know by Tommorrow (sat 12/12) if you find problems with them.
- The release of .99 is immanent and I would like the tcp/ip code to
- be as solid as possible.
-
- Things fixed are the memory leak in accept (I just did ~50000 accepts
- without a problem.) Connect should now return the proper errors on
- non-blocking sockets. Shutdown now sends an eof to the other end and
- half duplex connections are supported (Tim MacKenzie
- tym@bruce.cs.monash.edu.au). And all the damage done by patch 7 should
- be fixed.
