- I have SLS Linux 0.98pl5. As root, I can fire up X11 in color mode
- without problems. However, when I enter "startx" from a virtual
- terminal, the X server shuts down just after painting the blue
- background screen and leaves the following messages in text mode:
-
- exec: gwm not found
-
- waiting for X server to shutdown
-
- xinit: Interrupted system call (errno 4): Client error.
-
- #Error: Can't open display: :0
-
- I would guess that the problem lies with file permissions somewhere. Can
- anybody clue me in on exactly what's going on here and how I can fix it?
-
- Thanks,
-
