  13. I have SLS Linux 0.98pl5. As root, I can fire up X11 in color mode 
  14. without problems. However, when I enter "startx" from a virtual 
  15. terminal, the X server shuts down just after painting the blue 
  16. background screen and leaves the following messages in text mode:

  18. exec: gwm not found
  19.  
  20. waiting for X server to shutdown
  21.  
  22. xinit: Interrupted system call (errno 4): Client error.
  23.  
  24. #Error: Can't open display: :0
  25.  
  26. I would guess that the problem lies with file permissions somewhere. Can 
  27. anybody clue me in on exactly what's going on here and how I can fix it?
