  13. Someone from another news group told me about the FAQ for Linux.  I've never
  14. used ftp before but, armed with my "Zen and the Art of the Internet" I gave it
  15. a try.  At the VMS prompt I typed

  17. $ ftp kirk.bu.oz.au
  18.  <at which point I logged in anonymously>
  19. dir   <this did not work>
  20. ls  <this did not work - permission denied or something like that>
  21. cd /pub/OS/Linux   <this looked like it worked>
  22. get faq    <it said it successful, but I was skeptical>
  23. mget *faq*  <this would not work - permission denied or somethinglike that>
  24. ^Z <I exited ftp>

  26. I look in my directory, but I could not see any file that looked like a faq.

  28. Can someone help  me get a FAQ?
