  10. I'm a newbie. Just got the new 25 disk distribution SLS release of
  11. Linux. I have an ATI ultra with 1 meg vram, 16 meg ram, 200 meg maxtor.

  13. I installed linux successfully on a 50 meg partition. I then ftp'd the
  14. 8514.new driver, and followed the instructions in readme.2 to the letter.
  15. When I try to start X, it recognizes the driver immediately, but the
  16. screen just goes black. I did the installment of the other font set
  17. too... What am I doing wrong? I even unplugged my soundblaster in case
  18. that was conflicting with my video card.

  20. I have dos as a 50meg hda1, os2 as a 50 meg hda2, and linux as a 50 meg hda3.
  21. I have boot manager set up for os2, and I created the linux partition with
  22. fdisk under os2, as the faq recommended.
