- What is this Munitions act that the use of PGP supposedly interferes with,
- and how can any law interfere with the first amendment? I'm not informed of
- US law (being Canadian) but it seems ludicrous that the government should
- have any say about how you encode the data you send. It's like them requiring
- people not say any word to another person unless they are within hearing
- range of a governement employee or they make a tape and provide it for
- government scrutiny.

- P.S. Wouldn't a modem with a different encoding method for it's data be the
- same as PGP for purposes of this law, if not, what's the difference? If so,
- where does it stop?
