  12. Calico is available through the Software Solutions Group at AT&T
  13. (1-800-462-8146 is the number I have for them).  They sell
  14. software developed for internal use by units of AT&T that don't
  15. generally sell and support software themselves.  Calico is a
  16. language with C-like syntax and features, and Smalltalk-like
  17. object model and semantics.  It has additional features aimed at
  18. systems programming, including "real-time" garbage collection,
  19. delegation based multiple inheritance, interfaces to external data
  20. and procedures, and development tools for multi-user development.  
  21. It comes with graphical and textual development environments and
  22. libraries for building visual tools in addition to many object
  23. types and collections.  Calico is described in an article in the
  24. May 1991 issue of IEEE Software.
