  10. Can anybody explain the uneasy relationship between g protocol and
  11. error correction? I have had varying amounts of trouble with it at
  12. different sites and different times.

  14. I generally get the best throughput using no EC or compression when using
  15. g protocol, but another site I connect with keeps EC on all the time and
  16. says he has problems connecting using g when he turns it off. I disable
  17. it manually from my side.

  19. sometimes I have experienced errors using g with EC on, other times
  20. merely a noticable degradation in performance.

  22. A person at another site I know cannot connect at all unless he turns
  23. error correction off.
