  14.     I am interested in learning more about how to decipher e-mail 
  15.     headers and was wondering if there is any documentation available 
  16.     on an anonymous ftp site somewhere.  As an example, I included 
  17.     the following line extracted from a recent mail message I received:

  20.              <921217155244.22202e59@EVAX0.ENG.FSU.EDU>

  23.     I know that 921217 is the date and that 155244 is the time the message 
  24.     was sent/received, but I don't know what .22202e59 means (given - I 
  25.     knew the name of the sender from the other header information that was 
  26.     excluded).  If there is some documentation or books around that 
  27.     describe this example as well as other aspects of e-mail and e-mail 
  28.     headers, I would be glad to find out how to access it.  Thanks in 
  29.     advance.
