  14.      I'm assuming that this is the proper newsgroup to post this question
  15.      so here goes:

  17.      Does anyone in netland know if there is any existing documentation 
  18.      that explains how the various e-mail systems work and how they can 
  19.      or cannot "interface" with other e-mail systems (e.g. Internet -> 
  20.      Bitnet, MCImail -> Internet, Bitnet -> MCImail, Internet -> Bix, 
  21.      Internet -> Bmug, Internet -> Compuserve, and on and on)? 
  22.  
  23.      Basically, what I'm looking for is documention on e-mail addressing 
  24.      and how/why it works between various systems.  The more technical 
  25.      the better.  I hope this isn't asking too much.  Thanks in advance.
