- What ? Are you saying that cuz I am on internet, I should bother

- Bill is right. I am on Internet; I do feed 30+ uucp only sites; I
- do gateway mail for them. Each of the sites is encouraged to use
- FQDN in my domain; I do keep MX record for them, and I do maintain
- it.

- Guys in Ohio started it, using relay approach - each site which
- gateways mail, is using as an alias OARnet-relay; thus, sites
- running pathalias will find always nearest gateway.

- Point well taken.

- Well, full run of pathalias and someadditional massaging I perform
- on pathalias database to shorten routing over Internet, on 486/33
- machine with 16MB takes... an hour. Pathalias grows up to 1MB
- size in memory. It is a huge load. On the other side, I do run
- primary namesrever for my domain; I do not feel the load of it.

-
- I belive you are reversing order; Internet sites are quite happy
- with themselves; it is uucp-only sites who want to get quicker
- mail delivery, and who should catch on.

- Correct. Luckilly, there is more and more domain parks growing up,
- with one site acting as gateway. At least that is what is
- happening in Cleveland.
-
-
- regards,
- and for every UUCp-addicted site: make your own life easier;
- get a friend and register !
