- I know that Ultrix (V4.2) nroff performs exactly as you describe, and
- it's less than fun trying to read the resulting text. Perhaps the elm
- distribution could include a modified form of tmac.an with the above
- change, to be used when nroffing the documents (troff would probably
- use the original).
