  14. I have a line in my filter-rules file:

  16. if ( subject contains "UPDATE" ) then execute "elm -s UPDATE %r < update.txt"

  18. This SHOULD send a copy of the file update.txt to the sender of 
  19. any mail with subject UPDATE, right?  It doesn't work!  Anyone know why?

  21. My objectives are:

  23. to automatically mail to any sender of mail with subject UPDATE the file 
  24. update.txt.
  25. to delete that mail with subject UPDATE before it gets into my mailbox
  26.  
  27. also,
  28. to automatically send to a whole group of people (use an alias?)
  29. any message with the subject MAILING-LIST

  31. Thanks in advance.  I know this problem has been posed before, but I 
  32. never saw an answer.  Replies via direct email are preferable as I 
  33. don't get a chance to check usenet too often.
