  19. To have a signature automatically appended to your mail you must edit
  20. ELM's init file ($HOME/.elm/elmrc):
  21. The init file contains a list of variables and their settings.
  22. For signatures there are two variables:
  23. "localsignature" and "remotesignature"
  24. The values of each variable name a file.  Edit to your taste!

  29. localsignature = $HOME/.elm/.localsignature
  30. # remote ".signature" file to append to appropriate messages...
  31. remotesignature = $HOME/.elm/.signature

  33. Please keep your signature as tight as possible.
  34. It should contain your name and your email address.
  35. After all that's what a signature is for, right ?
  36. Please keep it down to four lines and 70 columns at maximum.
  37. But please do not overdo it! Save bandwidth!
