  10. Once again we are thinking about an X-windows interface of some kind
  11. for uni-REXX, our Rexx interpreter for Unix. Something less
  12. revolutionary than redesigning the language around object oriented
  13. principles.  We and others have seen a couple of attempts like this in
  14. other environments, and we were wondering...
  15.  
  16. 1.  Does anybody care?  Either those who use the product now or those
  17. who might be more inclined to use it if it had this feature.

  19. 2.  What like this have folks seen that they liked?  Based on external
  20. functions, I suppose, but you'd have to deal with waiting for multiple
  21. events somehow, perhaps including events other than strictly GUI
  22. related events (i.e., availability of data on stdin, etc.) Some kind of
  23. addressible environment might be involved?  We've got some ideas, but
  24. we wondered what you all think these days.

  26. Maybe the folks who have tried this kind of thing in other environments
  27. will comment on how their efforts are going?
