- Subject: RE: Keyboard Routine
-
- All,
- Thanks for the responses on switching the keys. I've been trying to
- use the ansi routine but forgot how to 'invoke' the commands. I know it's
- an escape sequence and all and that you add ansi.sys to config.sys, etc.,
- but I can't remember exactly how to run one of the commands. Of course,
- my DOS 4.0 manual lists the commands but says NOTHING about how to call
- the commands. For example, to change keys "ESC[code1;code2pESC[code2;code1"
- Well, okay.....but what do I DO with that?!? I tried COPYing to a file
- or to CON, executing it (knew that wouldn't work!), and TYPEing the sequence
- and nothing works. Even after I figure this out I have a feeling it will
- not work since so many programs take over keyboard control (dumping kbd
- buffer, etc.).
- Yes, I KNOW this doesn't have a lot to do with Pascal.....:-), so I
- won't waste any more bandwidth on this here. It does appear though, that
- I will need to write an ISR and hope that no application programs will
- throw it out.
- If anyone has more ideas or suggestions, I would be happy to have email
- on this subject. Thanks for the help and support!
